”Education is the Handmaiden of Democracy” 8’ x 4’ made by Advanced Art Students at Rappahannock County High School, 1998. When water was spilled in the sky, a student transformed it into a UFO. Another student came up with the subtitle when she described the high school as “A Place of Possibilities.” The border is made up of images that honor each subject taught at the high school. The State of Liberty was painted by Natasha Payne-Brunson, who has become a librarian and an artist/illustrator.
