4' x 4' outside of the triptych, where 4th graders each made an image of an important feeling, fulfilling the art objective of using a dark, a middle tone and light to show three dimensions. The outside is cool, because many people keep up a cool appearance.

The interior of the triptych says "We do not choose our feelings. We choose our actions." Honoring feelings is important, as is the idea that after a feeling comes up, there are choices in how to respond. I took the painting to Allegheny County Jail's writing class and inmates wrote what their reactions to the painting." The writing was shared with the students, who found encouragement and appreciation. Excerpts from the inmate response are heard in the DVD "Making Art Together".
