45 Art students from Rappahannock County High School in Washington, Virginia, helped to make this celebration of young people, using acrylic paint on wood. The entire public school system of Rappahannock is made up of 1000 children. The older students went down to the elementary school and photographed a child from each class, chosen by the teacher, to also be included on the mural. There are 68 portraits all together. The painting is outside on Rt. 211 highway in front of the Rappahannock County School Board. The project was funded by a grant from the Headwaters Foundation.
