This mural is the second in a series dedicated to fostering peace and understanding on the island of Cyprus, co-led by 8 artists and activists in training to become Singing Tree Mural facilitators.  They were from the north and south of the divided country. Now two murals - The Cyprus Singing Tree of Peace, and  The Cyprus Singing Tree of Belonging reside on the exterior wall of the UNFICYP headquarters in the Buffer Zone. People contributed from cafes in the north and south, families from a refuge camp and young adults attending an overnight fire ceremony.
