" Albany Unified School District had the opportunity to partner with Dr. Sweta Chawla to design and facilitate learning experiences for district leadership and our Equity Council. Through this partnership, the District experienced firsthand her thoughtful, creative, and deeply intentional approach to leadership development. Dr. Chawla creates spaces where participants feel both supported and challenged to engage honestly with themselves and one another.
Through sharing stories and creating art, Dr. Chawla helps groups surface their shared values and commitments. This approach transcends traditional professional learning by strengthening relationships across roles and identities. Her use of art and embodied practice to bring communities together is particularly powerful. Through these experiences, our district culture of belonging and collective responsibility has been strengthened.
Dr. Chawla is warm, insightful, and highly responsive to the group's needs. Her work honors complexity while remaining accessible and purposeful, leaving leaders with greater clarity, connection, and a renewed commitment to equity-centered leadership. I enthusiastically recommend Dr. Sweta Chawla to districts, organizations, leadership teams, and conference settings seeking learning experiences that are relational, transformative, and grounded in inclusive practice."
